Disappointed First Visit We’re new to the area and were actually really excited to try Papa Ray’s Pizza & Wings after our hotel recommended it to us. We’re always looking for that “go-to” local pizza place, so we were hoping we might have found our new favorite. I’ll start with the positives: everything looked absolutely amazing when it arrived. The presentation was spot-on, the pizzas looked delicious, and the breadsticks were beautifully presented. Unfortunately, the taste just didn’t live up to the appearance. The crust in particular was very disappointing. It had almost no flavor and the texture and taste reminded us of eating plain cardboard. The sauce also had a very strong, generic grocery-store pasta sauce flavor rather than the rich, seasoned pizza sauce we were expecting. We really wanted to love this place, especially being new to the area and actively searching for our go-to pizza joint. Unfortunately, based on tonight’s experience, we left pretty disappointed. That said, the presentation and appearance were excellent, so we genuinely hope this was just an off night. We wanted to give an honest review because we would have loved for this to become our new favorite

This food is very good. I ordered pizza a wings and was pleasantly surprised. Every layer of their pizza is seasoned, dough sauce and toppings. Which makes for a very balanced pizza. The delivery driver handed me the food with good energy and confidence. The food did not disappoint. 🙏🏽

Consider this review time with Jas & Jay. With us having a large family, we love a good deal! Especially budget meals! 😎 Lunch with the kids and nana, our first time trying Papa Ray’s Pizza in Naperville, and the Monster Slice deal was worth it! Had it for breakfast. Great place! Didn’t realize how huge the pizza slices really are. Glad I didn’t order two!

This is our new favorite pizza place! The family combo is a fantastic deal, and the wings are large and well sauced. I also really appreciate how polite and patient the employees and owner are, they are always willing to answer questions and are overall very pleasant and kind to talk to. I am so glad we found this delicious pizza spot and we will continue to support Papa Rays!

Good deal horrible pizza! This was 2nd attempt at trying them since I moved to the area. I’m very familiar with this chain because I use to to go the one in Carol Stream. So their lunch special is $7.98 which includes a large slice, fries and a pop. I don’t know if it’s just that they can’t make pizza or they are making their slice from yesterday’s left over pizzas. My slice was dry, flavorless, damn near no sauce, hard as rock and it it seems like it wasn’t an actually pepperoni pizza , it was more an old cheese Pizza and they threw pepperoni on top and tossed it in the oven. I couldn’t even chew the pizza even at placing it in the microwave. Now the only reason they got 2 stars is because of the fries, which were damn good. The photo below is the other half of the slice that I’m tossing out . Great size but awful quality

I recently ordered a cheese pizza slice, and it was incredibly delicious. I had expected a regular small-sized slice, but when the cashier informed me that it was seven dollars, I was surprised. Despite the price, I decided to order it. When I received the pizza, I was amazed by its size. It came in a large box, and I couldn’t believe how big it was. Additionally, the restaurant accommodates Halal dietary restrictions upon request.

My husband and I were in Naperville to buy a car and stayed overnight at the Holiday Inn Express. I just Googled "food delivery near me", and this place had great reviews and they were closest to 5 stars...more so than any other restaurant offering delivery. I ordered 2 slices for my husband and 1 slice for myself, and an order of cheese fries to share. The slices are like a SMALL PIZZA!!! My husband is a big guy, and he could only eat 1 of the 2 slices I got for him. We used to own a pizzeria ourselves, and I can honestly say (being the pizza snob that I am!) this pizza was 1 of very few that I thoroughly enjoyed. Everything arrived exactly as ordered. All the food was hot, and overall very delicious. We were there only to finalize the purchase of the car, so we only stayed the 1 night, but had we stayed a 2nd night, we would've ordered food from this place again!
